Julia Belle "Billie" Clay 91 went to be with her Lord Friday at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday January 21,2013 Graveside in the Double Mountain Cemetery officiated by Rev. Robby Harris under the care and direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont. Billie was born September 11, 1921 in Brown County Texas, she married J.D. "Jake" Clay December 4, 1937 in Hamlin, Texas, he preceded her in death October 7, 1999. Billie worked as a waitress for many years as well as serving as a mother, nurse, caretaker for her family. Billie was a member of First Baptist Church in Peacock, Texas. Billie (also known as Tiger) was a loving wife and grandmother. She had an open heart for her family and friends, and gave willingly to all. Her wit and sense of humor brightened the days of everyone she came in contact with. Billie and her husband Jake spent many fun filled evenings dancing and socializing with friends. The pleasure of these outtings added greatly to the length and quailty of her life. One of her favorite sayings in the last years of her life was " I wish every mother was lucky enough to have a daughter like mine." Billie will live on in the memory of each life that she touched and there will be a hole in each and every one of our hearts!
